Born in Farnham to a Spanish father and a German mother who ran a barber shop in Guildford, Robert brings a rich multicultural background to his work. Fluent in English and Spanish, with a working command of German, he also possesses an exceptional ear for accents—particularly Irish and American.
Robert trained at The Academy Drama School in Whitechapel, London, and also completed military training in the Spanish Army. His diverse experiences have shaped a dynamic stage and screen career. On stage, he has performed in a wide range of productions, including Backbeat, Quartermaine’s Terms, Songs of Grace, and many more.
On screen, Robert has featured in several critically acclaimed BBC dramas and soaps such as Casualty, Doctors, and EastEnders. He also co-presented the BBC’s language-learning series, showcasing both his on-camera presence and linguistic talent.
Commercially, Robert has been the face of major campaigns for brands like Nescafé, Nintendo, and Vodafone.
A standout moment in his career was starring opposite Jeremy Irons in The Borgias, directed by Simon Cellan Jones—one of his favourite roles to date.
Beyond acting, Robert is also a corporate video producer. A passionate F1 fan and Liverpool supporter, he enjoys badminton, cycling, and hiking in his spare time.
