Tom Goodwin
Tom has trained with the National Youth Theatre in which he is currently a member and also the National Youth Music Theatre. His talents led him to be admitted onto an MA for Acting for Screen at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Tom continues to nurture his growth as an actor by attending GoHub workshops and is skilled in the accents, RP, General American and Irish.
Tom played the lead role of Jack/Puck in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ followed by a dream of Tom’s, an actor musician, in the ‘Hired Man’ on the West End in one of London’s biggest theatres. Most recently he played the role of Nick in ‘Would You Still Love me if I was a Sticky Frog’, a genre- bending environmental film, which premiered at Wildscreen Film Festival in Bristol.
Tom has a passion not only for performing but also for filmmaking, gaining him a holistic insight into the industry, both in front and behind the camera. He has worked as a freelance filmmaker since the age of 18, as a director, cinematographer, editor, writer and assistant-producer. He has worked on a variety of projects such as music videos, short films. corporate work and short documentaries.
Aside from acting Tom is a proficient windsurfer, RYA approved dingy sailor, squash player, basketball player, table tennis player and has some experience riding horses. Tom is also an experienced Vipassana Meditator, having spent over 1 month in a complete silent retreat, each day consisting of 10 hours of meditation!
