Dennis Chua
Dennis is a Native Angeleno and started his acting career in Los Angeles gracing our screens in iconic TV shows such as the original 90210 and Baywatch. However, his passion for storytelling flourished when he transitioned to acting in independent films. His debut feature film, "Aftertimages" in which he undertook the leading, but challenging role, an introverted baker. Afterimages was screened at the CPH PIX festival in Copenhagen and was recognised in the renowned Sight and Sound magazine “Films of the Year 2010’ survey.
Through his work in independent films, Dennis has gained valuable experience in the challenges that come with independent filmmaking. Due to the nature of filming being undertaken in public spaces, whether it being filmed surreptitiously or drawing attention towards himself, Dennis has learnt the challenges that come with the notion of staying in character.
Dennis expands his versatility by being trilingual, speaking English, Italian and Spanish. His native accent is Southern California American and can strongly do General American and Chicano. In Spanish he can do a Mexican, Argentinian and Castillian accent. He is currently showcasing his dedication to his craft by undergoing training in proper Irish and traditional RP.
Dennis nurtures his physicality as an actor due to his past experience as an amateur boxer and through military training. He also adds musicality to his repertoire as a talented baritone singer and plays the guitar.
